I still have my 1972 Kasuga T-250, sounds beautiful. Almost as good as this one! 😊

Cool, same year! It sounds amazing, and I found I could manage the less-than-modern playability by downtuning a full step.

Hey there I think I have that exact model. I bought mine in Toowoomba in 1975 for $110. I was 15 and had to mow a heap of lawns for that much money. It's significantly more battered than yours, but sounds exactly the same. I played it in bands, busking. Took it backpacking with me. Still love it.

That’s awesome! I sold that one years ago, but I remember it sounded great. A bit of a bear to play, but I downtuned it a bit and it was fine. Cheers!

Great sound! I got recently a 12 string Kasuga t-300 amazing instrument and sustain! I decided to downtuning to C, after high 3rd broke several times

Nice! Yeah, it seemed to work better with a little less tension.

A friend gave me a 1972 Kasuga KF-460 12-string guitar with no nut or tuners. Headstock had broken off a la les paul and been re-glued . Needs a lot of work, but the body and fingerboard are in great shape for a 50 year old guitar.

They were really nice sounding, I always was complimented on the tone. Mines been mothed balled for a while but I just may break it out now.

I still have mine, 1972 model# KF860. I'm surprised to see one online I never met anyone who ever heard of Kasuga guitars, so cool. I bought it new when I was in High School in 72. Could you tell me if it's the same model as mine? Thanks

Nice playing and guitar! I love vintage Japanese guitars! Also play my Kasuga 6 string in my newest video (Blues) Those guitars really have a certain vibe to them that i call "soul" Also have a EL Maya EM1300 Thats a real gem 💎 Cheers brother 🍀

Wow, great video, love the sound of your guitar! Yeah, the vibe of the old Japanese acoustics is really unique, and they don’t tend to cost a fortune. The neck width and action of the Kasuga in this video would have taken me a considerable amount exercise to get the hand strength to survive playing an entire gig, though. 😂💪🏽

@@dustybuffalo9973 Thanks my friend! Yess i had the same issue with my 12 strings. Some play very hard while others play smooth haha. Gotta love the 12 string sound with the 2nd set strings a little off tune👌 Cheers

I don't recall, but I'm sure they were light and cheap. Probably Ernie Balls of some kind

Did you change the tuners?
@dustybuffalo9973
@dustybuffalo9973 3 года назад
I did not, but I can’t confirm that they were original. All I recall doing to it was changing the strings and unbowing the top slightly.

@@dustybuffalo9973 Thank you. The bad on the guitar are the japan 70 tuners.. But the sound is fantastic!

Hi Jan! The Kasuga sounds amazing as you can hear, and when I see them for sale, they’re generally pretty inexpensive. The biggest drawback is that, due to high action and a big C neck, it requires a lot of hand strength to play. If you’re a veteran acoustic player, the sound and reliability are worth the workout, but if you’re a beginner, you may want to find something easier to play. Thanks for the question!

I believe I'm tuned to drop C (CcGgCcFfAaDd) The first bit is loosely based on "Ohio" by CSNY, and the chords to the second bit are G2, Bb, C2, G, Eb, F, G
