How do we tighten that "nut if you will"" Special type of socket or chisel? When it loosens all sort of hell breaks lose

This dude didn't even show the hardest part which is getting the latch out when it's in the glove box door. Dumb, had to go look elsewhere

Hi could you explain why these are sometimes hard to shut and lock? Ours just bounces back at you 9 times out of 10.

The catch isn't adjusted right..... OR, you have your glove box stuffed with WAY too much paperwork!

Excellent video. Any tips on this same job on a Chevy G30 van? What tool(s) do you use to get the nut off the latch? TIA.

I used an aluminum head 5/16 bolt, I had to grind part of the head to fit in the 7-point hole, then jammed two nuts together on the threads, backed it all out. I saved the aluminum bolt in my tool box for another job. A cut off wheel can also make some slits in the nut so a hammer chisel can be used to tap it out/back in. Tightening it is as important as removing it
