Treasures from the past, great video. Like the one you are have, i have a '73 250 & 400. A 1975 Falta 400 and 1972 Maico 400, all bought in the crates, assembled by my father, brother and myself and enjoyed almost every weekend. These bikes are bulletproof and still running. Thanks for the thorough presentation of the dinosaur.
@@scottsmotorsportsofpalmbeachthe 400 I have is the "Works" model with the rear shocks laid in a more forward position to allow for more travel and smoother ride. It is an all around awesome machine to ride.
Beautiful. Remember them and Maico from the weeknight MX races at Ascot Park in Southern California. Those were the days never to be forgotten. Now, I am 69 yo and suffer the back pain from the poor suspension we had back then. 😂
Yep, although I have a slightly younger back.....it reminds me every morning :) I should be getting both bikes in March and will do another video with them both running. Glad you enjoyed the video and brought back wonderful memories
Yeah, they stopped making them....but it appears the mold was sold to someone else....I bought a white replacement that says CZ on it instead of Preston....arrived yesterday. I will make a side by side comparison as soon as it comes back from the CZ dealer.
Agreed....with the original rear tire still being in good shape, does not have a ton of hours on it. Dad bought it and although I was riding it, I preferred riding my other Japanese bikes....particularly the Hoda CRs....easier to start, had tons of power and so much more suspension. Should have it back up and running in the Ned couple of months and will start to side it again
