This 1974 International 100 4x4 has been rotting away in Chin's father-in-law's pasture for 16 years. It "ran when parked" according to Hoot! But we know how that goes... Let's see if we can get this one back on the road! This pickup has been SOLD! As always, thanks for watching!

This was nearly the same as my Air Force IHC pickup. It was a picnic bench on four wheels but it never quit, went absolutely everywhere and I really miss it. It had the right height and size to perform any kind of work and was definitely not a fashion statement by any stretch of the imagination.

Those 345s were absolute work horses, just like it's 350 sbc equivalent. They'd work all day every day and keep kicking. They just wouldn't go anywhere quickly...

Hi Mortske, I wanted to say Thank you to yourself and Puddin' for making the content you guys do. I've learned so much from watching the both of you and all your endeavors I was able to troubleshoot and fix my nieces 1965 Ford Falcon Fuel sending issue this weekend. Turns out it was the fuel sending unit ground connection, but without all the troubleshooting steps I've learned from the both of you I would have never touched the car to begin with. Again from the bottom of my heart, thank you! You guys ROCK!!

This reminds me back in the later 70's my dad was looking for a new vehicle that would double as a hunting rig. We went to several dealerships including IH. The Scout II's had paint bubbling up from rust all over! Brand new on the showroom floor. Those IH's were built like tanks but the quality really slipped towards the end. So good to see you bring one back on the road. They are getting rare!

Thanks another great video! I used to have a 1972 IHC 1210 4x4 short bed. Yes, from the factory. IH made some interesting trucks. It originally had a 345 and manual 4 speed but the original owner decided to drop a mopar 440 and 727 three speed auto in front of the factory NP205 transfer case. Mine had a dana60 with Detroit locker in the back and a dana 44 up front. My guess is your has a Dana 44 in back and maybe a 33 up front? It had drum brakes all the way round guess IH decided to put discs up front by 74. Fun trucks, too bad body parts are non existent these days.

Excellent video Mortske Repair :) those trucks made Hamilton Ontario Canada till 1980 when factory closed up 345 V8 4 barrel carb Holley CFM 1000CFM with choke cable knob in dash and Transmission be Creeper 4speed with Bow Low First gear Eaton D18 Manual transmission and rear be 355 to 456 ratio! Fuel tank be 25 to 60 gallon fuel tank! Rare see one those disk on front most them Drum till 1974 with Power Brakes and Steering! Lucky out didn't get split rims on this International pickup! filter is like Fram 8A on Small one or Fram 8A big one plus 345 take 5 quarts totally on both oil filters , plus fire order same small 350 V8 to , plus timing is +1 degrees and fuel pump had originally a glass bowl bottom fuel pump plus see this change to GM but got fuel filter on intake fuel line ! Manual is standard option a fluid type and amazing trucks Mortske tell you too ! Got excellent find too! Also Alternator be Delco Remy be 70 or 90 amps they got internal Regulartor plus use low amps 30 to 35 amps on when head lights or heater on do 70 to 90 amps ! Also Mortske does that one have Choke control on Carb because on Cold Starts need away out then 5 to 10 mins push to 1/4 out so get Engine warm and then push in to off! To that International is First year didn't put key in dash on on right side they put Coulmn like Modern vechiles are and add radio to that truck easy too ! Side markers lights on back box and plus front fenders to to for Turn Signals! Surprises me that Truck did have West Coast mirrors and with turn signals too on them plus Radio antenna too! Also if want put Muffler on those trucks put Round from Farm tractor that my late dad and late Uncle did to there 1968 International 1 ton !

@@MortskeRepair Yeah, you're RIGHT it is and that's why it's awesome. To many buttons switches levers knobs in these newer vehicle's, need to get back to how they use to be made. Simple. How much wiring and relays do you think is in that Truck a heck of a lot less then the newer Trucks these days, and why for what, because people are LAZY that's why, GPS why because people don't know how to read a map. Ask your Dad how much more simple life was. I love your video's man you just make my day when you put another one out, and sometimes I get a real good laugh. I am only 36 years old, but I love manual roll down windows so much better, same with seats that you have to pull up on the lever and pull the seat forward way more simple and if it break or stops working it mechanical and pretty simple to fix. What I'm saying is that electrical just adds something else to go wrong. Plus if you add electrical and mechanical together you have to figure out witch one went BAD the electrical or the mechanical part could be something as simple as a blown fuse or as extreme as a slit in a wire somewhere or a bad relay. You see what i'm saying, LOLZ. You have a good one my friend and God Bless.

That tie rod looks like the one in my Scout. IH wasn't thinking when they put it there. First thing to hit. Mine was reinforced with angle iron welded to it. Another thing that isn't legal here, but it worked. Every RU-vidr I have seen tries to adjust the carb on a cold engine. The engine MUST be at running temp with choke full open before you can adjust the idle speed or mixture. I was adjusting carbs before EFI existed.

Growing up at home 🏡 Dad was a logger an he had a lot of those pick-ups. Most all was 3/4 ton with a 345. I'm here to tell ya, if those tires could get ahold of something 😏, it would climb a tree. Great 👍trucks 🚚as far as I'm concerned 😟. Really enjoy 😉seeing this one. Thanks for sharing 👍.

Sweet! My Dad and Uncles loved Cornbinders! My Dad bought a Travelall new in 1973, worst vehicle he ever owned (per him). The 1970 truck he ran till it dropped? Perfect! 😉

While in high school during the mid 2000's my first vehicle was a 71 1010 pickup and a 73 fully optioned travel all that I bought from the original owner. Let's just say I stuck out! I've been an international fanatic ever since.

You know what I REALLY L.IKE IN YOUR INTRO'S IS YOU SAY " TODAY THE DUFF DOG & I ". As a " DOG LOVER MYSELF " that really shows how much you love him. I also see how you treat him, include him & take care of his grooming. That say's A HELL OF A LOT ABOUT A PERSON, HOW THEY TREAT THEIR PETS. A+ SIR, Mortske, A+, Duff is very lucky too have you as his owner as you are too have him. NOTHING LIKE A GOOD DOG & THE LOVE THEY GIVE US, IT'S UNCONDITIONAL, UNLIKE PEOPLE.

Thanks for another great show. I always liked the IHops, especially the Travelalls and the Scouts. The only pickups I saw were city-owned (Parks & Sanitation depts). Some lucky soul will wind up with yours, I suppose (unless you keep it hint, hint). Give Duff an extra pat on the head from me.......

Another classic Mortske blog! When you stopped by the cow & said: excuse me sir, we’ve been trying to contact you concerning your extended warranty..., I thought I’d die laughing!! Wish I had a dollar for every one of those warranty calls, I could’ve retired last year! Unfortunately I’m 71 & still waiting for my ship to come in! I think I’ve been waiting at the wrong dock! Keep up the good work!

73 and the same problem. Rivers up here in Timmins ON all run the wrong direction, all the way to James Bay and Hudson Bay, creates a very short shipping season and my "ship" hasn't made it here yet either.
