I have owned my T160 for 40 years and I feel like I know each carb personally ! As you will know the idle jet is not acessable but I found that with the mixture screw removed you can gently clear a blockage with a piece of 12 tho guitar string. The other breakthrough I had was accurately setting the idle mixture by using 3 Gunson colour tunes. Balancing ws done on the bench using a snug fitting torch (flash light) shining in one end and lowering the slider until the light just dissapeared from the other. The best improvement without doubt was fitting the Tri-Spark. Its like a new bike now and can idle at 500 RPM (but doesn't due to poor lubrication at that speed) Ths has been a very good series and is there for the rest of us Trident owners to learn from for ever more.
