I can see using the Cummins motor, but by far the Ford Superduty chassis is far better. Maybe using an Allison transmission if not a Borg-Warner manual!

New Venture is a fine transmission? Lol they handle tons of power, my buddy has a 2nd gen with 550 hp and 1100 ft lbs torque on a stock nv5600 been driving it for 7 years abused on a hot tune, he put a clutch in it last month but the transmission shows no sign of letting up any time soon Also the 2nd gen chassis was very stout especially for its time. The weak point was at the steering box. The fix is a red head box and brace. Takes 2 hours to install and is absolutely worth it.
