I didn't even know he had a wife. He was only 23 or 24 years old here, but he looked so much older than his age at the time. They didn't mention that he was a police officer. I wonder if he was one yet in 1973?

Back then, he was like the coolest celebrity, always on TV, and he even held the world record for being the strongest guy. And get this, he still holds the British shot put record after a whopping 51 years! If he was doing his thing nowadays, he'd probably be rolling in dough as a millionaire athlete.
@@M-ps6ve Troll The dedication as an amateur athlete to compete in 3 Olympics is enormous. He was competing mainly against Russian and East German athletes who were Doping. There were 9000 athletes in East Germany alone, on Steroids. They were also in effect professional athletes in an age of amateurs.
