hi,take a trip to brazil,look up mwm 4.2tdi,killer diesel,in fords/chevys.std,135kw,510 nm.not much,but the turbo is so small,its a mitsubishi tdo4,,journal bearing type,i fitted a tdo6,3" in,duel ceramic bearing,now has 700nm,165 kw.im not after speed,just torque,this thing goes up/down any hill at 800 revs.2002 super duty.cab/chassis,tray.rev limit is 4k.plus.there ohc,3 valves,3" exhaust,all mechanical,not even glow plugs.german tractor engine apparently,we got them in aus,brazil,s/africa,europe.you missed out because of ford/inter marraige.they ran from 98-2007,then got all the modern rail stuff...i also have a 1975 highboy,,rare as in aus.
Que tal matthew. Linda camioneta. Tengo un perkins 6354 que quisiera adaptar a un jeep j10. Tengo el adaptador original para ford. Que transmisión usa su camión? Cual es la velocidad máxima que puede alcanzar.? No quiero ir estorbando en la autopista.
@@phantomwalker8251 hey is it good a highboy lifted f100 a v6 diesel perkins also I want to carry stuff in the back for camping can the f100 handle it or get a v8 diesel or f350
I didn't build it. Was tossing around the idea then this fell in my lap. The gentleman who did it did most of it himself and I think I still payed less then he put into it.
We didn't get them as an option here. My dad took one out of a medium duty Dodge and put it in his old square body Chevy though, that was a good truck until it died. It wasn't fast but it'd pull a house down and get 30mpg doing it. Oh, and I should mention it wasn't a turbo. 3.10 gears helped with getting it to highway speed.
@@robby844 NEVER has a Ford Pickup came with a Perkins Diesel installed at factory...Where did I get that information? I am 4th generation Ford Worker...(there are 18 people in my Family, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, and myself, that have worked for Ford) Some of us where in Engineering, some of us were factory workers...some of us were Warranty Troubleshooting... You may have misunderstood that I meant Perkins Engines were not here...that is WRONG...I had a Massey Ferguson with a Perkins... I have a 4.236 hooked to a C6 out of an aircraft Tug....it is going in a project truck. - The engines are everywhere and unlike the 4BT these have liners....so the engines last literally forever...
I love when people put small tractor engines in a road vehicle! Theyre meant for such bigger machines that pulling a pickup truck is nothing for them! Love this!!
i have an f250 2002 super duty,with a tractor engine,german,mwm,ran from 98-2007,but not in u.s.brillant diesel.prefer it to the 7.3.any day.will pull 4t.
I can't remember the exact capacity, but shes big. As long as I don't idle for long periods it's all good. Never had the heat come up high. I'm not sure if you can notice but there's no fan. I never bothered at first, and once I realized how cool she runs I didn't see much point.
Matthew am really impressed with the size of that radiator. Especially where I am coming from, Malawi, it's hot. Can we link up I need one like yours. I run a perkins 6.247. Are you on Facebook?
