Thanks mate. Going to try MX next Wednesday for first time since July but due an op on my knee so may not be up to much this year - sad times mate sad times

Glad you changed your mind abt using aluminium for the chain slider. Not sure abt using brass for the shock bushes though, most are steel? Edit : having googled a bit of brass metalurgy it may be ok (with high zinc content?) Could you not have extended the nylon mud flap like on the Magnums that finishes nearer the swinging arm and protects the airbox? Enjoying the videos.

Was always going to use the nylon for the chain slider. I’ve used brass for plenty of shock bushes they stand up well.. not sure about the mud flap - maybe I need to look into that as would be nice to protect the airbox & the engine in fact from the mud fling.. will have a look when I’ve got the bike nearly finished - this will be a bike that I think I’ll be continually improving!!
