litterally in the 14 years I've owned this tractor I've never found a more helpful video thankyou for this I own a mtd 960 mine has a manual trans and no hydraulic lift but it's the same tractor thanks for the upload after sitting for 4 or 5 years I pulled mine out today to find it has no spark would love to get the rototiller back on and put to use
You'll see I have a 960 as well. It has a solid plow on it I use to push snow. Thank you for the comment. So glad we live in a time that we can share our experiences with these old machines and help each other out!!
@@ontariotube thanks for the reply yes it is nice that we can share information on these old machines my tractor is exactly 20 years older than me so there is much to be learned after some internet searching I did find the manuals and breakdowns of both the 960 and the rototilller still looking for the manual for the mowing deck my 960 also has the manual lift I'm from alberta and there doesnt seem to be many of these tractors out this way
I enjoyed that . I've had my 990 for going on 20 years . And going strong . Would love to see more of that deck , it's very different from the one with mine .
Thank you, shot in the dark here but if you could please give a video underneath it would be so helpful. I had the lift cylinder rebuilt and cannot get it back in the right place
You wouldnt happen to have an extra clutch sheild for a 960 would you ? The 990 sheild may work too. ? Its the only part i need . restoration is complete otherwise .
You mentioned that the original person for the Bush machines was helping you would that be Eric Summers? Cause my father and uncle also worked and helped produce the original Summers Bush Machines.
Hi Stephanie,.. Yes, Eric Summers has been very helpful with providing me information. If there's any chance your father and/or uncle would be able to contact me, I think they'd be a valuable addition to my well of info. (bookm97@gmail.com) Thanks!!
I just listed the tractor for sale last night (too much machine for my little lawn)... and included the parts-tractor in the deal. I'm not really much for mailing parts online.. but might give it a whirl if no luck selling everything ($1000 for all). Cheers!
@@billgator2005 I hear ya, getting anything can be tricky right now. I had a hell of a time just getting a new battery from crappy tire 2 weeks ago. But either way I'll post a video of it today and let me know if your interested in anything off it. I'm just north of barrie
