Greatest guard ever .way ahead of their time. Beautful choreography and dancing combined with difficult and precise equipment work. They started it all . Thats why they will be remembered as the best.
Funny, looking at something I imagine as old-timey, then they break into music from “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, and I’m suddenly jolted into realizing - this was my freshman year in high school, and there was nothing “old-timey” about it. Incredibly slick high-tech SFX films were already big in the theatres, GM cars were downsizing, and both Prog Rock and Fusion Jazz were hitting their electric stride. People so underestimate these years, I think mostly because of how shitty videotape has aged…lol
