After fixing up my first truck, there's no way I'd sell it for any amount of money. I'd literally turn down a million unless I was back against the wall. I'd keep the bronco for life 😉
@PaperBeatsRock
@PaperBeatsRock 3 года назад
Oh yeah, I get that for sure. I'm thankful that we are not in a spot where that hard decision has to be made, but there are others out there that are in that spot and I hope they hear this, learn something, and don't get taken.

Second gen bronco only came out for two years so I think they will retain there value pretty good‼️ Ahh I’ll be keeping my 79
@sblsbl7600
@sblsbl7600 3 года назад
Another cause of the price increase is the chip shortage. New vehicles are hard to get. I would rather have a 79 Bronco over a new bronco.
@PaperBeatsRock
@PaperBeatsRock 3 года назад
yeah the chip shortage is huge. On top of that once they get up to speed there is going to be a ton of last year models that have now sat for a full year doing nothing. They are going to end up selling them for so cheap

I just got to say thank you. Watching your videos have given me the want to take on my own projects. I would have to agree with the others and say keep them. I had a 76 f150 that I sold years ago and I regret it all the time. I keep looking for one similar however they are going for more than I’m willing to pay at this point. Also because of you I decided to keep my little Tacoma and rebuild the motor since it locked up. Thanks for the awesome videos! Keep them coming! Thanks again from Washington.
@PaperBeatsRock
@PaperBeatsRock 3 года назад
Thank you so much, Ryan, I love hearing about people taking their projects on. Like you stated, deciding to sell your projects is a very hard and emotional thing to do. It is a good topic that does need to be talked about though and we as owners the more knowledge we have behind our belt the better. Your little Tacoma is a solid little truck and definitely worth the energy put back in it. We sold an 84 Toyota 4x4 a few years ago and I do regret it a bit because it was a great little truck. The only reason we let it go was that we had so many other trucks and it was not getting used at all. Good luck with your rebuild brother and keep me posted on how it's going.

My dad used to have a 91 bronco eddie bauer she sadly rotted away motor and trans outlasted the rest my dad now has a 2010 ford raptor he loves it sadly that truck is a rot wagon because for some odd reason it was never primed I dont expect his raptor to last until he passes but if it does depending how much of it is left I'd start there he has been good on the body work fall of 2020 he did the rockers on it honestly I would want a old ford bronco or a classic muscle car that is never spoken of now adays despite rarity I would love to own a old 57 Chrysler 300c and shoot to make it closest to original
@alphakenny1_
@alphakenny1_ 3 года назад
Yeah pretty crazy how the asking prices rised. I remember just an average non restored 78-79 would got for 2-7k. I bought a 78 custom for $2,500 and got rid of it 5 years ago, currently own a 2018 raptor but I still think about that bronco every day.

Personally, I would hang onto it, but of course depends on what it means to you and how bad you could use the money. I bought my 86 XLT in 97 and been offered a decent amount in the past, but she’s been with me through a lot and don’t think I could ever sell, even though I could use the money
@PaperBeatsRock
@PaperBeatsRock 3 года назад
I 100% intend on keeping my green and white 78 because it has so much sentimental value to me, but that is not true for the rest of my fleet. That being said even the green and white one does have a price if we are offered a stupid amount of money, but it would have to be way way high.

I get asked if I want to sell my 87 Bronco all the time I get people honking their horn in traffic to pull me over, pulling up to me at red lights don't even start me about while I'm getting at the gas station. Mine has been in Georgia since she left the showroom floor so No Rust all the trim inc that ugly piece on the tailgate removed everything smoothed out & a solid gray with a Heavy red primer. I put a small Skyjacker lift ProComp Shocks on her (I destroyed the Rancho trash) & 35x12.5x15's ProComps on CRAGER rimes have the C6 tranny- vastly stronger than the AOD models & the DANA44 TBB. Mile Marker locking hubs the WARN Stainless Steel hubs failed & broke. I ordered the reupholstery front seat Low Back No Armrest (Bench is perfect) kit from Jeef's Bronco Graveyard about 5 wks ago (it takes 12 wks) End of the day I'm NEVER see a truck like mine but NEVER Selling her.. I have NEVER EVER seen a Bronco like mine down to the Black dash Trim NO WOOD TRASH in the 22-24 yrs I've had her I've made some upgrades redesigned a few things man between her & my 2 OLD OLD Harley's I'll be broke till death. It's tuff when you love something made of steel

Hi ,what is the average price of a 1977 V8 f150 ,nothing fancy ,something that you can drive ,not worried what the paint looks like because I want that rat / barn find look ,I live in the UK and at the moment I drive a 2016 Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.2 and I fancy a mid life crisis project ,did not know if it would be cheaper to get on here in the UK or get one imported over ?
@PaperBeatsRock

If your looking for a 4wd that is not to bed in the body and just needs a bit of wrenching and some body work you will be looking at $5k-$10k USD depending on a lot of variables. Shipping I have no idea though. We have trucks transported over to the NY from here in Oregon and that cost $2k-$3k per truck.

Just pick up a 94 bronco planing to cleaning it up just How’s the resale market on that
@PaperBeatsRock
@PaperBeatsRock 3 года назад
It's still very surprisingly high. As broncos go for resale value in each here is the list from most valuable to least. Early Bronco 66-77, Dentside bronco 78-79, Bull Nose 80-86, OBS 92-96, Brick Nose 87-91. Now when we get to the bottle of the list there is still a lot of value there and quality is a larger concern at that level. I will say that I just had a friend trade his 89 bronco for a 2001 F250 4x4 with a 7.3 and a lift. It was a pretty clean truck so really take everything with a grain of salt and if someone really wants it don't be surprised.
