The most underrated aspect about this song is the amazing drum work by Ernest “Bilbo” Berger. The way he switched the beat from the closed 16th-note hi hat during the verses to the open hi-hat for the choruses that gave the impression of wheels going round was ingenious. It’s what’s endeared me to this song for 46 years and counting!

When I see this group and the smiles and fun they had banging out major hits that would make the whole world dance, the fate that was in store for them was traject, the white gentleman playing the bass guitar was nearly stabbed to death by his jealous enranged girlfriend, Johnnie Wilder up front singing in the black jumper, was paralyzed from the neck down in a horrible car accident, after that the band was never the same without Johnnie, it was said they drew thier energy from him because he choreographed all thier dance moves, even his older brother Kieth who sings lead on most of thier songs and is singing lead in the video couldn't carry the torch on, and the keyboard player the famous Rod temperton would eventually leave and write and produce music for other famous arists such as(Miachal Jackson's "Off the Wall" as well as"Thriller") he would often still write for Heatwave, but to much trajedey had happened and the band slowly dissolved.

I greet with Empowered Greetings! For me as a child growing up in the 70's Heatwave's "Grooveline " and Boz Scaggs "Lowdown " were my favorite songs. I use to listen to them both before my Little League Football Games ( Tampa Eagles 🦅) to get me...."Amped!"

One of the greatest songs in the 70s part of the Disco era check out the three guitarists one white boy in the middle and he's grooving with the rest of them the vocals are outstanding
