I have my dad's realistic nova 5 speakers from back then. They now have different woofers and tweeters. The cabinets were so nice I had to keep them

I bought my Nova 7 speakers because of this sale in 1978 and I'm still using them today. Only had to replace the dual tweeters from blowing one out with 8 ohm singles which improved the high end and recommended.

Most of the Realistic brand speakers in the 70's and 80's actually had a layer of real wood grain finnish on their cabinets when a lot of others didn't.

I love my Realistic Minimus 7 speakers ! Very good separation and sound stage from a small package !

That's because a "sound stage" was a "thing" when your Minimus 7 were new. NOW there is no "separation" or "sound stage" just a big, BASS, But it's MONO! We have gone BACKWARDS with audio tech. 1975-1995 was the peak, This is the "gear" to get if you actually like MUSIC!

I had Realistic MC 1000s as a young Teenager, then when 18, replaced them with Optimus 25s. Still have them, had to replace the Woofer on one at about 2 yrs. Later they were replaced by Bose.

Now everyone uses Bluetooth speakers IN FUCKIN MONO! We have great tech, and SOMEWHO walk BACKWARDS. 🤦‍♂️

It's the same with phone quality. When we all had landlines the sound was great and you could talk at the same time without the sound cutting out. Now, it's like talking on an old set of walkie talkies. More shit and less quality.

Particle Board and Walnut Veneer, which isn't a bad thing. Particle Board can be engineered with a particular Density, and Consistency, unlike solid Wood, thereby reducing variances between 2 speakers.
