This would probably be the earliest televised footage still around of Wally playing. I know there's the 78 GF, but that was about a month later.

That was Steve Cherry’s first grade debut. He played five-eighth a bit of lock and some centre until part of the way through 1981 he was Brisbane’s five-eighth vs Newtown in the Tooth Cup with Wally at lock in 81. Obst only played 2 years in the forwards for Redcliffe 1980 & 1981.
