Had new in 1978. It was the first year for downsizing. I loved it. Kept for six years before traded in on 1985 Monte Carlo LS. Both was fantastic cars for the time. Thank you.

Nice monte carlo I had like 8 of this cars in my past I used to like them with the 350 Chevy motor till I got tired of them and switch my self to olds cutlass and Buick regals

I was surprised to hear an electronic chime tone when you started this Monte Carlo up. I thought all Chevys including the Monte Carlo still used a scary buzzer until at least 1983.

It has the wrong speedometer. The 1978 and 79 goes up to 80 and the and the actual needle or gauge is real thin and red.. Not orangish looking. It shares the same gushes as the clock and gas gauge and clock. The reason I know this is I owned 2, one of my best friends owned a 79 and another owned a 1980

I own a 1978 Monte Carlo the speedometer his has showed is correct for that year. I have the exact same speedometer in my 78 I’m the second owner of it. I have started restoring it so far the complete interior is done from top to bottom. Headliner, dash, carpet , seats & door panels. Color Camel Brown.
