I'm glad I landed on your first video for this Gen II so that I can watch the updated videos next. I'm currently tearing apart my 1979 so very useful info. You also give me encouragement as a solo "60-something" shade-tree mechanic. Fight on!
Very glad to have found your channel. Why? Because This Bronco is from my youth. I want to see you do this build and put that Coyote in the rig. Can't believe your a 1 Man Show. That's Awesome. You have the resourcefulness of a Farmer. If your from Ohio, you know what I mean. Farmers are the most determined, hard working and resourceful people I know. Your showing me that your never too old to do this kind of stuff. More Power to you. Go kick that Broncos Butt. Love it!!!
@gerardfenn3988 Thanks so much! Glad you enjoy it! It's nearing completion now- it'll be done soon. See it run & drive! Bronco update here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qa7qvO4-JgA.html
Those Coyote engines are great for a street truck, and look awesome. But in my opinion, if you're gonna build a Bronco that actually gets used to do Bronco things, you can't beat a 300ci six and a granny five speed. I drove my 85 Bronco all over Iceland back in the late 80s with a Rancho lift and 33 inch BFGs. Deserts, snow, glaciers, it could do it all. Keep building, love watching your stuff!
A 300 6cyl may be reliable but it's gutless as hell in a heavy bronco. Of the old stock type motors a well built 400 is better in every way. I'm sure a coyote is world better as well. If I were doing a new school swap I'd go for a godzilla over a coyote any day.
You bet! It's almost done! I'm doing the lights & interior now. New video out in 2wks. Here's one you missed- it's already been to the alignment shop. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qa7qvO4-JgA.html
i am always impressed by the work you do i watch every vid even the off topic vids some real professional work being done by a guy in a little garage with no lift keep it up
Thank you for sharing. So cool. Mine is getting a smog legal 5.3. Why you may ask lol.? I live in California and it’s getting very strict with emissions BS.
To my eye, the '78-'79 was the best looking Bronco of the entire run. So 'Coyote Ugly' wouldn't be my first choice of names, especially considering how nice it will be throughout when you finish it.
Doing a 71 crew now with gen 1 converted to 4x4 also. Drivers floor near hump will need to be inverted at corner. Also go to fleetpride for the drive shafts other issue is gonna be pinion angle on front the trans xmember will need to be dropped
There are three generations of the Coyote engines and as with everything it's all relative. You can see different quality engines at online auction sites for sale, to get an idea. Thanks for watching!

I have a super clean 79 bronco that I'm wanting to do this swap to! Mine is a 4 speed truck witch I would like to keep. Can't wait to watch the next video on this build! I'm in northwest Ohio. Are you close? Keep up the great work 👍
