It's obvious how well that car has been looked after. I don't think I've ever heard a quieter running Essex 3.0, especially on tick over. I do have a soft spot for the old Scimitar though. It's a good looking, practical classic car, with strong performance. Also, being glass fibre, so long as the chassis is solid, you don't have the usual rust problems that tend to plague cars from this era. It's just hard to believe they came from the same company who churned out the Robin!
I had one, wish I had still got it. They do need a lot of maintenance though. No major problems just constant niggly issues. And they use parts from several different manufacturers.
