God has recently spoken to me about this. I am middle aged and my family is grown. Anyhow God told me at this age the only thing he is asking me to do is be a homemaker to everyone. God said to me, the art of homemaking is lost" so I am doing what I've always done taking my job at home seriously and now he is bringing people into my home constantly, and sometimes he will ask me to bring something to them. A hot and ready meal or something. People really are looking for a place to call home and as Christians we can make our home available to any one at anytime. That is what sets us apart and gives us the opportunity to tell others about Jesus. Great vidro

Having a lasting impact as a Christian woman, definitely starts with being a homemaker. It's so sad to me that homemaking has become such a "thing of the past". It seems that the world finds it " boring" and how wrong is that. Homemaking has been my greatest pleasure and honor. I pray these videos reach many,many women willing to conform to Gods ways. When walking in his will,the blessings are innumerable. Thank you for these Biblical reminders of the way we should be living and doing so full of joy!❤

I’m new here. I need help getting my children involved with chores. I have one with special needs that needs constant reminders so I find it easier to do it myself. I’m daunted by chore charts, even just sitting and doing one, I can’t find the time or they’ve failed. When I need help but the four of them are getting along, I hate to interrupt. Also, our afternoons are varied with therapies and sports for one child so it’s not usual that x could be done same time everyday. :sigh:

I read a book called Hunt Gather Parent. It changed my life in the area of chores for kids. The author is not a Christian so she mentions a few things that don’t agree with my Christian worldview but it’s easy to glide over. Basically, she observed how tribes in the arctic and other parts of the world secluded from modern society function. The kids do chores willingly and happily. She studied how and saw that the families INVITED the kids to participate in daily activities and never called them chores. The kids would help for a while as bonding time and then scurry off and go play. The parents never scolded. They appreciated the participation they received bc it’s not a punishment, it’s just going about living.

That's wonderful- I'll have to look that book up! For us it';s about serving as the Lord came to serve. We all pitch in. We pick up after ourselves. We must be willing to put others before ourselves. But definitely something we can dig deeper into around here! XO
