Since you brought up the camera thing. You could get a decent action camera. They have aftermarket or non go pro cameras. Which are great. AKASO makes one with an adjustable lens. It might be worth looking into and being able to use the same camera on your rides, cruise trips, and so on. I have the EK7000 which is their entry 4K camera.
Bang and Olufsen has service and they tell you how to replace the battery in speakers and headphones. But yes alot of stuff is junk. Now people are ok with adds on it to and tvs with adds can't forget that.
