Peter Brocks 5th of 9 Bathurst victorys came in 1980 driving for the first time at Bathurst, a Holden VC Commodore V8. 1980 was the first year that the Holden Commodore raced at Bathurst. Upon deput, the Commodore crowned its first Bathurst victory with Peter Brock and co-driver Jim Richards in the Marlboro Holden Dealer Team.
