from former Baltimore Oriole teammate Brooks Robinson (on Feb 7 2019): ''Today is a very sad day because I lost not only my teammate, but also a very dear friend. I loved Frank and got to know him so much better after we both retired. I spoke to him a few days ago and he sounded good. He wanted to be home. ... As a player, I put Frank in a class with Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and Mickey Mantle. He was the best player I ever played with. When he came here in 1966, he put us over the top. He was a great man and he will be deeply missed.''

The first MLB game I ever attended was at Tiger Stadium in Detroit on July 1, 1972: Orioles vs. Tigers. NBC Game of the Week. I got to see my favorite player up close: Brooks Robinson. it was one of the great thrills of my childhood.

Wouldn't Miller be the producer since a producer is someone who funds a project? To my knowledge commercials have directors and writters....I was under the impression that the company or companies funding a commercial would be the producer

What great players. Brooks was the greatest 3rd baseman ever. So many great Orioles teams in the 70's and 80's. I grew up in Milwaukee, and with the exception of the end of the 1982 season, the Orioles made a habit of coming into Milwaukee and SPANKING us...BUT GOOD!!

That was a great year in Baltimore sports- in 1971, the O's and Colts were the reigning champs and then the Bullets upset the Knicks in game 7 to win the Eastern Conference finals. Unfortunately, the Milwaukee Bucks with Kareem, The Big O and future Bullet Bob Dandridge ended the chance of a trifecta in the NBA Finals with a four game sweep of the Bullets.

I'm moving up the coast & Cheering for the RED SOX"! STILL a RED SOX ⚾ FAN since 1972 (Carlton Fisk's rookie YEAR).

Let’s get this straight… You jumped ship on your team, despite them making the World Series 4 times in the last 6 years and winning 2 of them. You did this because they dared to trade away a 36 year old player who would spend the rest of their career battling injuries and being a shadow of their former self. And you took your “loyalty” (if you can call it that) to Boston. A team that would make the playoffs once in the next 14 years and wouldn’t win a World Series like the 2 that Baltimore gave you for another 32 years. And you seem to think this isn’t something you should be extremely embarrassed of. Yeah…if I were Baltimore, I’d be happy to see you go.
@Tyrannosaurine

I suppose it was this same logic that made you capitalize words like “fan” and “team” and “year” seemingly randomly? Is there a logical reason for doing that?

...I ran into Frank Robinson, Boom Boom Geoffrion & Billy Martin at Hartsfield Airport in Hotlanta in Feb 1982 while I was waiting for my flight to Ft Lauderdale - I had 5 hours to kill so I rode around on the various people mover shuttle trains to kill time (engaging in 'chronocide')...all three were in the same car...Frank was leaning against one wall, holding a garment bag wile Boom Boom was trying to goad Billy who was trying to ignore him...Frank was the perfect gentleman....ignoring Boom Boom as well...this was shortly after Billy had gotten into trouble with George Steinbrenner over the 'marshmallow salesman' incident...I got bold and asked Billy for his autograph which he kindly gave me - on the cover of a 'Modern Photography magazine (which I've since lost)....shortly after that the shuttle pulled into its stop and Boom Boom gave up (his audience disappeared also) and all three left for wherever it was they were going...which I suspected was another Lite Beer from Miller commercial
