I owned a few of those bikes and the '83 480 would be my Daily Driver! The '76 250 was a very fun bike to ride even if it was a little dated.

Thank you! I was at one point over 50+ mx bikes. A lot easier taking care of 30+. Love these bikes!

@CharlieFerer I watched your pro circuit video. As soon as you mentioned RJ, I was Like oh man, if David Bailey sees this! Lol It would be cool to see some early 90s bikes in your collection. Either way, thanks for sharing!

Haahaa I agree should have mentioned David Bailey as well. I will try to do a video on just the 90's bikes...that is a great idea.@@danielosmon

These bikes are showroom masterpieces. I’ve built a 1976 Elsinore 250 very close to showroom condition and then i used it on a trail and then I dropped it. That’s when I said I’m just rebuilding the engines and suspension and making them a daily rider. Those bikes score 100 points, to nice for this guy. Very nice thanks for showing them off. Hopefully, you get the money you deserve for preserving them.

Thank you! I am fortunate to have ten bikes that I ride/race and the rest are for the collection and an investment. Blessed to be able to have this as a hobby.

Drilling out components was a common weight-saving measure during 70-80s, I saw it a lot on road racing bikes

That definitely makes sense. Whomever did the work did an excellent job.

I love the Honda Elsinore bikes. I'd love to find one to restore. And I noticed you have a few there already restored. Beautiful bikes. I've always had Honda as a kid. I mean I've had a few other brands too, but I'm more of a Honda kinda rider. Go red team!! ❤😃

I agree Mark. My first bike as a 1982 KX 80 at age 12 and was able to buy it from a paper route. Then I purchased a friends 1982 RM 125. At 16 I bought a 1987 CR 125 and raced that bike and ever since have been a Honda fan. I do ride KTM's for modern bikes but I am a huge Elsinore and 80's Honda fan. I have two classes I race in: 1981 - 1983 open class (race a 480/250) called GP3 (non disc brake class) and 1984-1986 open class called D1 for front disc only class. Those classes I race the Monday CR 250/500. The vintage racing is incredible as well.

@CharlieFerer yesh I've been riding since age 5. My very first was a blue Honda CT70. Then my 2nd was a '78 Honda XL75 that looked showroom condition, and that was for my 13th birthday, when I turned 15 I had a Yamaha 225 3wheeler, then a Honda EX350 I think it was, then I bought one of my buddy's '93 CR125. That was my 1st ever 2 stroke kick ass machine. It was so kick ass that it laid me on my ass a few times until I got used to it. Big difference from old 70s and 80s dirt bikes and 4 strokes compared to the 90s era dirt bikes. Once I got used to it it was an all around awesome bike. Amazing suspension vs old skool lol and power. Here a few years back I bought an 82 or 83 Yamaha XT250. Didn't keep it long. And here recently within the past couple years now I bought a Yamaha XT500. It was also a 4 stroke unfortunately lol. But I recently sold it because parts were terrible to find and super expensive! 🤑😩. I started the restoration process but lost interest when it took months just to receive parts. Even my local bike shops didn't have what I needed other than pitty crap lol. And it didn't have a title. I had $4000 invented and got cheated, but it's outta my hair. The guy gave me $300 since it didn't have a title. But I have a kick ass mini bike. I have a bone stock engine, a modified engine I built and got running again and an all out Jr. dragster predator 212 engine I'm still building on. I have an AMR300 supercharger with a sigma 6 nitrous setup for it. All forged and billet components inside and out. The only stock components is the crank, block and head at the moment. Gonna get a bigger cam for it soon and a billet crank with a built head that's already built. I also have roller rockers on that one as well lol.

2:47... Spokes are all bent! Could be wrong length spokes, or incompatible rim/hub, or incorrect wheel lacing pattern. But this just isn't right! That wheel will fly into pieces the minute you hit the throttle!

I saw that too. Wtf! It’s like the nipple holes in the rim aren’t angled. I don’t think those are the original rims.
