Coty Schock's 1976 Honda CR250 

I ran a '76 250 with an RC Tank, Luft Performance shocks and Terry Kit forks as well as a very trick Paul Turner pipe. These bikes were much more ''friendly'' to use than the 73-74 engines with better power and less ''Hit''. I had just moved up from a 75 125 Elsinore and the 250 was just more fitting to my style. So nice to see one in beautiful condition!

Good on Coty for not only building something like like this, but actually riding it ! NICE !

Marty Smith rode this one when I was a kid

George ethrige was the main man at Honda back then he used to bring the Hondas out to Indian dunes for us to play with I loved it when he brought the prototype xr-75 out for play with that day I was 12 years old in 1976

Great video! It is outstanding for Coty to take an interest in the history of motocross and be involved like he is. I already had a great amount of respect for him, his attitude and effort for the sport but it increased even more now. Perhaps Coty could bring that Honda to Unadilla rewind in 2023! It is usually held on a weekend when there is no motocross national going on. He already knows the track because I saw him ride a national there in person where I saw him do one of the coolest things I've ever seen at Unadilla and I've been going there since the the days of Bob Hannah racing against Roger Decoster. That is while flying through the air probably about 130 feet distance over the skyshot jump he pointed at a fan that was whirlwinding a t-shirt alongside the fence for most of the riders in that race... Very cool 😎. Coty was the only rider to acknowledge that fan who was definitely into it and putting in some extra effort to cheer the riders on. I was a fan of Coty's from that day on. Good luck Coty in 2023 and hopefully will see you race your vintage Honda at Unadilla rewind 2023! I'll be there racing my 1985 and 1988 Kawasaki KX 125's that I bought brand new back in the day and have restored similar to your Honda CR 250.

I'm a bit surprised that the petty fender doesn't match Tahitian Red 'is that because there were some color variants on the old Elsinores? I've thought that some look a darker red than others . Beautiful bike ' but I would have gone for silver rims. I love that those air shox are being made again 'but would prefer them silver or black like they used to be.👍
