RMVMC - GP2-3 250 Intermediate. 8/11/19.
The 1979 CR250R I normally race had a transmission problem, so I slapped some numbers on a 1980 CR250R I bought to rebuild, and figured I'd see what it could do. I had never ridden this bike before this race, and had only started it once in the year I have had it. I had no idea if it would last a lap or the whole day. The shocks are toast, but the motor ran strong all day. A very fun bike to ride with lots of low end, and grunt through the middle, but it signs off quickly on top. A real short shifter. I am looking forward to rebuilding it more than ever now.
