I like this kind of race, where everyone just goes out and grinds. Much more exciting than a "tactical" race with a slow first lap and the favorites getting boxed in.

I also doubt that the Soviet girls were clean. Olizarenko had some serious muscle - look at her at the very beginning of the clip. Her finish looked unreal - a woman should not be able to run that fast at the end of 800m. But she was not like Flo-Jo with unexpected results out of nowhere - Olizarenko was an experienced runner with plenty of medals and good results throughout her long career. She ran 800m in 1:56.09 in 1984 after giving birth to a child.

She is faster than Semenya. But she had a baby you say, so steroids a plenty, all is forgiven?

Flojo was also an experienced Runner. She didn't just come out of nowhere. It was the Eastern Europeans who needed to dope, to compete with Black athletes, who are Naturally Blessed.
@jayhawk3027
@jayhawk3027 3 года назад
@@joeortiz7715 If you look at FloJo's results dynamics over the years, her results improved by a huge margin in 1988, and then she abruptly retired in 1989. If you have ever trained in track and field, you would know that experienced athletes do not improve their results all of a sudden by that much. I agree that FLoJo was also experienced, which makes both Olizarenko and FloJo prime suspects for doping since both of them showed unreal strength.
@kurtfrancis4621
@kurtfrancis4621 3 года назад
Olizarenko was no doubt a short sprinter (200m/400m) in her youth. She runs very much like a converted 400m runner with fantastic turnover. Not the long loping runs of longer distance runners.
