The Birmingham installations of Saltley & Bescot could easily be reached within a short ride on what latterly became known as the 'Cross-City' line. Much activity could be seen from within public reach, particularly at Bescot. It was for this reason that many enthusiasts included the short trip to either or both depots as part of a day's spotting at Birmingham New Street as this short film shows.
