@@rebekahallen3933 yeah i am 60 wife is 56. Met while i was in the army in 86. Having kids n working makes it tough to keep up big hair. I thought i was going to die when she asked me if she could cut it short. It is still shoulder length. But i miss that strawberry blonde big hair. Maybe i could talk her into a wig.
Ok so .. Step 1: apply volume spray (or root powder) all over scalp. Step 2: divide hair into segments and apply light coat of hairspray. Step 3: work in segments, starting from the back and working top to bottom, lightly teasing back the roots with a fine comb and then curl. Step 4: apply some extra teasing with the fine comb at the front top of hair - then curl some more. Step 5: once all your curls are done, add another light coat of hairspray Step 6: with the thick detangler brush- lightly brush out the curls, focusing more on deconstructing out the curls at the top front and sides. Step 7: segment a good chunk of front hair, pinning back the left and right sides, and front, to create a “poof” at the front, middle (0:23-0:25) Step 8: blow dry WITHOUT removing the pins yet. Step 9: remove the pins and give your hair more shape with your fingers and combing back lightly with the thick detangler brush. Maybe use some more hairspray as needed. Step 10: enjoy this big nest of a hair
I was in high school in the late 80s & early 90s and NOBODY had hair like that! We had that horrendous thing we'd do with our bangs where we'd get the curling iron and roll one part back, then the other part down, then get the hair dryer and blow out the sides while spraying Aqua Net and it would freeze these giant wing things out on the sides. It was atrocious!!!
From someone who used to do this hairstyle you start off with a perm and not spending hours every single day not only curling it but styling it like they show in this video. That’s way too much time. And perms lasted at least 3 months. Once you get a perm the rest is easy. Promise you. 😊
@@AHannah79 Definitely agree! If you want your hair to look like this every day, a perm is way easier! However, we love the .75” barrel for creating perm-like curls without having to commit to that style everyday! 💕🙌
Oh yeah. Aqua net so much more than hairspray. Flame thrower, spud gun fuel. Even a weapon if you spray in someones eyes. Guaranteed to make the whole house to start coughing.
Being born in 1990, i kind of got the left-overs from the 80's. And of course i can only remember the mid-late 90's. But the 90's had brand new styles all-together, with left-overs of 80's that didn't want to give it up just yet. For me personally, i wish the 80's hair came back(Mainly woman, i can care less with the dudes). **For some reason, i get immediately turned on with big-hair on woman. -Throw on some Lingerie, & it's game over............They will get anything they ask for. Message to woman: PLEASE bring back the 80's hair.....I promise you i will make it worth your time!
Sorry, this is way too nice. 80s hair was hideously ugly. Watch TV shows/movies from like 1985. The hair was hilariously bad. Like a huge matted cat hairball.
