I meant to say this in the video but I forgot, they're both a bit buzzy. Both instruments came from much more humid places so despite being humidified in their cases for their entire lives here in Colorado, they still dry out pretty good and are in need of a setup pretty bad. And the Sobell REALLY needs a refret, some of these frets are so worn down that I'm really amazed that it still plays so easily. So hopefully it's not too bad despite the buzzing, and maybe you can get a bit of a feel for each of these instruments still, although I would say that neither of these are very indicative of the typical instruments these builders make. In my experience these are both quite unique.
I just wanted to play just a few tunes and a partial song to compare the two before they go off to their new homes soon. Beautiful little instruments, both of them.

What an excellent comparison video. Thank you! And, your skill level is above the average demo given that I have seen, so much appreciated! I think you've helped me determine that the OM is a much better choice than the bouzouki.

Ah! Roger Tallroth's Josefins Dopvals, such a beautiful tune! Thanks for this double take of it! The Sobell has more warmth for it IMHO

This one was made by Nigel Forster who now lives in Australia. You can check out his website. There are also quite a few other makers out there as well
