1981 Austin Mini Metro 1.0 base fully restored in Applejack 

My friend had one of these. We called it the bogey!! I had several Metros, smashing little cars. It's astounding just how much you can fit in one!

I learned how to drive in one of these. This one, absolutely love it. Probably better than when it was made.

That takes me back. I went to the Metro launch in 1980 and had a few early 80-81 cars.

It's simply Stunning Wayne, Matts done an incredible job with this!!!

Brings back great memories ! What a wonderful restored car with all the original details . ( only thing I can’t remember where the painted hood support and lever in car colour , but could be my mistake and being too picky ) . Great job and really a reasonable price . Hope you sold it already !

I used to run a Metro specialists back in the day and that is nicer than most new ones, if I didn’t live right on the coast, and now with no storage space, I’d snap that up, it really is stunning.

had an 1981 like this on an X plate in 1995, same interior different shade of green , it had a different radio and no lighter , the radio it had was a UNIPART GCA 519 LM/MW (the one with the triangle dials

My first car was a Y Reg Metro City and the lack of a wash wipe was a real annoyance, nice car to drive though.

I was going to buy this exact Metro about 13-14 years ago, it was only up for £1k I think as Metros werent worth anything then. Saw it at the Festival of the Unexceptional recently.

The original Metro was greater than the sum of its' parts.
