I will never forget the first time I saw a Katana when it was first released...compared to what was out at the time, I remember feeling that it as something, "other worldly"...it was so different...the new epitome of COOL. Fantastic.
Absolutely stunning and beautiful. Suzuki took a big gamble with the Katana; it was either loved or hated. Sharp lines, awesome technology and a vision for the future in those 80's era. I think: One of the least understood and underappreciated bikes of the time. Take care of this classic !
Perhaps one of the most attractive Japanese bikes of the '80's. Still looks futuristic even now. Remember seeing one on the cover of "Motorcycle Mechanics" magazine in 1981 when they first went on sale in the UK.
🫣😂 not really as it is part of my collection, however as life is , everything is for sale at the right price as there are sooooo many more gems of bikes that I am chasing 😜
I was thinking the same thing I had a 1982 Katana And mine was a 1000 also my speedometer only went up to 85 MPH, I’m thinking different countries might have got 1100’s. That bike never gots old
@@fish0n2 The 1100's bore was subsequently reduced to produce a 998cc engine with minimal sacrifice in power and the resultant Kat 1000 gained entry into official litre-class track racing competitions.
