Very nice! Not a Mustang guy myself I had an 83 Z28 H.O. 5 spd which was a beauty but a buddy of mine had the same 82 Mustang GT in black and same rims and this car looks perfect. Brings back good memories. Thanks for sharing.
I know what you mean. I rolled in a 78 canary yellow Z28 with T Tops and cragers. I definitely remember seeing them around back in the day. You rarely see that particular year these days. They just didn't make very many.
That was my dads car and then I worked hard and made payments to my dad I think $3,000 then when I hit 16 it was mine. I had the same color but the regular gt package. I sold it after college. But I wish I had it, I know every nut and bolt on that car still lol. Thanks for the video!
@@331Grabber exactly from 79 to 82 and had the same front bumper for the Cobra model and GTS and they actually look pretty good with 87 to 93 GT ground effects
@Nathan Lopez 79 to 86 was a great period to play mix and match with bumpers, grills, hoods, tail lights ect. I saw a red 86 GT with an 83 GT hood with the factory black center hood and rear facing factory scoop, and 3 piece rear spoiler, with SVO rear wheel spats and sail panels and 87 turbine wheels. It was done so well it looked factory.
@@331Grabber That's what I wanna do to my next car. I mixed and matched some stuff with my 88LX. It's an all white car. The black moldings. With Whiteside strips going along the moldings. I did myself. I took off the 15 inch, 10 whole wheels. Got some cheap beat up pony rims. Had them send blasted white to match the car looks factory. Also got black out, headlight covers and black out. Tail light covers and blacked out the rear third brake light. Looks pretty clean. Doesn't Look, tacky or overdone.
I had an '83 Mustang Convertible GLX 5.0 with 5 speed manual. It was triple black with red pinstripes. Only mods was replacing 4 barrel Mohocraft with Holly carb for better throttle response. Sold it in 2000 with no issues.
Very nice car. My neighbor's then brand new silver 82 GT turned me onto fox bodies before I was even a teen-ager. I did notice however, the AC lines and the upper rad hose clamp and heater hose at the firewall clamps don't look original.
I bought mine in '88 while I was in high school. Please post a video with the exhaust 'burble'. I got into so much trouble with this car. With the torque of the 5.0 and the locking differential, this thing was almost impossible to control. I tried in so many parking lots to try to keep from facing the wrong way in traffic.
I have almost the exact same car, just with an all black interior. Was wondering if the suspension was altered or updated on yours. The wheel fitment looks really good. I have the trx package too but it looks to have more wheel gap.
@@rosstempletonogskater Yes the are pretty massive barrels. It crazy they went with the 2 barrel but im glad its still there. most guys dissed those on day 1
