The “some guy at work found the car” guy was me. I was nuts not to buy it for $3000, but I passed it on to Rob Kinnan who bought it and then sold it to Greg.
It certainly looks cool and sounds great toasting those tyres all these years later. Missed all your witty drag week banter this year, sadly, including the odd brain fart, lol !!
Dave you are a pivotal part of the history of this Mustang, that we would have never known about had you had not seen this Mustang. 😎❤️🇺🇸❤️🏁❤️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6Hv6WXSt7vs.html
It would have to have a 482 iron block BBM FE, a set of CNC TF or BBM heads and a2x4 BBM TW and Holley XFI 2x4 throttle bodies. Nitrous Schmitrous. Does Dulcich still have the 363 Cougar?
@@bbhoustontx I have done it with a 428 and C6 solid cam and MR heads and a 2x4 TW. We had a child and it was 1st on the line to go.1982 was a tough year, especially now that said son bailed on the 1965 Galaxie after we painted it and and I went blind.
I loved how honest the owner is and how he wasn’t scared to say how much he put into the car and bought it for. A lot of people now days don’t like saying prices for whatever reason may be but I love knowing the way I can at least somewhat compare it to other cars for sale and yes I know the car is worth a whole lot more than what he paid for it back then lol
My dad bought a brand new yellow 1967 Mustang fastback, back in the day. One of my enduring childhood memories is us being pulled over by a cop on a winding rural highway and my dad being proud about how fast the cop said we were going.
Great car. Don’t ever get rid of it. You will never be the same again without that car. I’m not even a big ford fan , but that’s a great story and car!
Thank you all for this bunch of goodness that I didn't realize I needed today! So very well done and, of course, as an old AF gramma, the memories of my '68 Camaro SS! I bought it from my now late big brother for $500.00 in 1978! And yes, my 'friends' had the Teen Magazine, me? Hot Rod all the way so thank you for that as well! Rock on!
Perfect in every way. I shed a tear seeing that quick shot of old LACR. The sights, sounds, and smells. That was my release. Friday nights I would hurry home, do the 'Drag Race' adjustments and sneak my way to the track.
In 1971 my uncle stopped by the house, driving a his new used 67 Mustang GT 390 4spd. We all ran (beat) our cars at Fremont drags back then, so off we went. ..Under hard launch the car wheel hopped slightly worse than bad but, managed a good pass after the sun set, ..around 15.10 mid 90's mph. It looked just like this Mustang, Boss Man..
A '67 Mustang drag car with 48,000 miles. That's alot of miles, a quarter mile at a time. I like the fact that you havn't done a restomod, or made it to show it off on the street on weekends. It looks extremely good, and stays true to it's lineage as a drag car...
Like my Mustang your's is a survivor, my friends & others have asked when are you going to paint it? I say I'm Not going to be painting it anytime soon lol 2 Thumbs up to Ken Kahan!!
That’s looks like Oxnard or Camarillo lol I use to street race them back roads 18 years ago lol good ole memories 🤙bad ass Mustang you got there brother 👍🏼
Greg , I simply love her and I would not change a thing. I am 67 and finally have a performance car after all the years of life. Salvage Title 2008 Bullitt 1935 and I will love my Lisa until I die !!! I drive her for the sound. I gutted the radio !
Awesome video! I also have a drag survivor. It’s a 1976 big block camaro. It’s bracket car. Was built at precision speed in California 32 years ago. Hasn’t been touched since. Very old school. Paint job is about 20 years old. Everything on this car besides that is about 39 years old. And the history of this car is a awesome story. Wish I could get some pictures on here for you. Love the mustang. I’m huge mustang fan! I grew up driving around with my uncle. He has a 1965 Shelby GT 350 he bought new. We had that car in a lot of car shows. Still does. Keep up the great videos! 👍
Greetings from Germany. I love your films, and your kind of doing this with so much passion and heartblood. Great work, great style, great music, great cars. Keep up your fantastic work and stay safe 👍
I learn to drive in the 60's with one of my brothers dark green 67 fastback mustang. 3 on the floor HiPo 289. Redline wide oval tires on Keystone mags, nice looking car, with glass packs.
Love these mustangs I had a 68 Shelby GT350 with a 302 back in the day. Had to sell for 4K in 1981 to buy a house. Been kicking my butt ever since. Lost my car and a few years later ended up getting divorced. Double whammy. Enjoy beautiful ride.
I was a street racer in the SFV during the 70's and 80's. My first car, run '74-'76, was a blue '68 GT/CS with a built 289 4-speed in Acapulco Blue. The only, to my knowledge, California Special "in the scene" based in VNB. Always looking for any of the old crew, but before your time I think. Love your car. Great video.
@@413x398 Which ever one you are most proud of. 👍 You have some neat stuff. I still have my 65 Galaxie in midnight blue with the 394 FE that still haul the mail like it did in 1999, lol. I get rid of vehicles and swap the engine in . That thing is still a screamer! I thought about putting my good heads on it but I never got them back.
Of all the garages, collections etc that I’ve seen on RU-vid this collection is by far the coolest. No contest. As Mr Collins would say, “outstanding Sir”! ❤
@@FourSpeedFilms You’re doing some great work also Ben. A talented young man. I remember watching your Dad and his friends on the series Rides back in the day. Anyway, long May it last. Regards, Declan. Ireland. 68 BULLITT clone.
Ben your kill'n it with excellent content!!!! And man, that car is a true survivor!!!! So much history on 4 wheels with that fast back!!!! My old boss had a fast back like that with a big block! It was a beast!!!! You are knocking it out of the park with the killer content!!!! And i love the grass roots approach!!!! Keep that spirit up!!!! 😀😁😉😎🍺🍺🍺🍻
My sister had a 1967 fastback when I was around ten years old and every time I heard it start up I was running out the door to get in for a ride. I've had many Mustangs over the years but unfortunately I never had my favorite 1967 fastback. Maybe some day it's on my bucket list!
Great survivor drag car, we live in the Detroit area, I remember many drag races on I-75 & M-59, we would meet at the weigh stations(or gas stations), unload the cars, stop traffic, race, load back up...those were some crazy times...
@Babylon falling we must be close to the same age(62), I remember a jack in the box on Perry street in Pontiac, everyone would meet there & drag race on Perry street...around 75-77
Love it! That car should be a keeper. I've owned probably 12 Mustang's 2 of them 67 fast backs, don't get me wrong I've owned everything GTO's Z- 28 Chargers, Challenger's & much more, but I gotta say out of all of them the Mustang's has always been the funnest cars. Anyway great video keep'em coming 🇺🇸 MURICA!
Babylon falling, Yes they are all good looking cars, 67 just happens to be my favorite, I have another friend that has a 69 Mach 1 that’s a badass car.
I love the video bud! They just feed my soul for some reason. There’s just a romantic part of owning a part of history, it almost takes you back in time.
In 1970 i bought a 67 mustang fastback identical to the Bullitt car 390ci 4 speed,4:11posi,Offenhiuser intake Holley 4barell,i paid $1200 i was 15 years old, I wish I still had it.It was great fun.Engine bay was so cramped with headers it would take me all day just to change the spark plugs on one side.
I have the sickness. I've watched thousands of hours of these types of videos. I own a modified muscle car too. You have a gift for making videos, one of my new favorite channels! if you keep it up, you can definitely make a living at this. Your short films are awesome! I seriously see a million subscribers in your future oh, if you keep it going. Keep it up if you can, excellent!
This was my DD during high school, even the same color, just no hood scoop. Mine had my hand built/balanced 351C w/a M21 four-speed w/ 3:90 gears. Think I'd fill those screw holes in the hood, just on general principles. lol Sweey ride! Definitely more C.I. than my set-up. My envy meter is blowin' up!!! Didn't hear what kind of 1/4 mile times yurs ran, but my best on the 50 series BFGs was a 12:89 at about 120+MPH.
My brother in law had a 67 gta coupe with a factory 390 automatic in this same color when he started dating my sister in 74. Had slots on it too but had a teardrop hood scoop
idk when im gonna go to the US but i will for sure TO CHASE MY DREAMS! Btw Dude Ive Been Watching from Bangladesh and peeps around here has no ideas abt these cars, so anyways love your vids ben! Love it!
When I was a kid around 1977 or so, my dad bought a 1968 Fastback GT It was orange and the crease down the side of the car was outlined with a reflective white. Factory 390 4 spd but someone had put a set of 406 heads with the Holley Tri-Power on it. The carbs set backwards because the distributor at the front of the engine, posi trac 3.89 gears. He bought it for $1000.00
Keep going guys, you're going to blow up, keep it a mix of Domestic,European and Japanese and you'll have a massive subscriber base in no time. Not to detract from this beautiful fastback though, I wouldn't change a thing!
Fantastic vid you put together here, I just love et !!! As soon as it ended I started watching again lol, that don’t happen often !! The stang is just killer !
