Many thanks for posting this. I had a Kawi KZ650 about 30 years ago, and have been trying to figure out the year of manufacture/year that I bought it. Apparently, it's the 1982 you've featured. I'm only 74 years of age, and for my birthday, I bought a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 ABS KRT Edition. Kawasaki's are GREAT!
Awesome bikes my uncle had on with a 4 into 1 Vance and Hines exhaust after market k&n air filters and carbs she would surprise ya for a old sports bike I'd take a well taken care of old sports bike all day over a new bike I suggest beginner riders to start on a old sports bike like these instead of a zx6r these are great first bikes
I had one of those: in top gear every 1400 r.p.m. was about 10 m.p.h. so you could do the ton at a little over 7000r.p.m. (I had to work that out when the speedo cable broke...). I love the sound of the engine...
Thanks for updating this vid. I just bought sr 6650 '78. I wanted to cut it but as I watch the line and everything, I will change strearing. How do you like it after few months? Cheers!
nice bike I am going to be getting a Kawasaki kz650 going before to long I had a Suzuki gsx600f and I was wondering is a older Kawasaki kz650 able to keep up with newer sports bikes like a Honda cbr600rr a Suzuki gsxr600 or a Kawasaki zx6 I'm not going to be racing them but a lot of the people I ride with have newer sports bikes Suzuki gsxr750 Honda cbr600rr Kawasaki zx6 Yamaha r6 Kawasaki zx14r and Suzuki gsxr1000 I know when I had my 1988 Suzuki gsx600f I was able to keep up with newer sports bikes I have beat a Suzuki gsxr750 a Kawasaki zx6 a Yamaha r6 and a Honda cbr600rr I love how older bikes from the 70's and early 80's sound like the newer bikes when you have a 4 in 1 header on a older bike people couldn't tell the difference between my dads 1982 Suzuki GS650 my uncles Kawasaki Ltd750 our friends Honda cb750 from my Suzuki gsx600f my brothers Suzuki gsxr750 my cousin's Kawasaki zx14r and our friends Honda cbr600rr because my dads 82 Suzuki GS650 my uncles 81 Kawasaki Ltd750 and our friends 76 Honda cb750 all 3 sound kinda like our new bikes because they have 4 in 1 headers my dads has a vanse in Hines 4 in 1 header and my Suzuki gsx600f has a vanse in Hines exhaust also the look different because they are different year bikes mine was a newer bikes and look more like the bikes now days and another thing I was wondering can you use a exhaust system off a Kawasaki zx6 on a Kawasaki kz650 I don't know if you can but it seems like you would be able to because Kawasaki uses the same inline four cylinder motors on the older bikes like my Kawasaki kz650 and they use the same inline four cylinder motors on a Kawasaki ninja zx6 only difference between them a Kawasaki kz650 has carb and weighs more than a Kawasaki zx6 and a Kawasaki zx6 is fuel injection witch gives you more low end power for a faster response off the line proven fact I studied about sports bikes and a Kawasaki zx6 weighs less than a Kawasaki kz650 but it's not really a big difference between the power of both bikes and the weight isn't really a big difference between them and I know from experience from having my Suzuki gsx600f its not the bikes its the experience in the riders because I have beat a Suzuki gsxr750 a Kawasaki zx6 a Yamaha r6 and a Honda cbr600rr no when it came to racing my cousin on his Kawasaki zx14r and the Suzuki gsxr1000 neither of us on smaller bikes had a chance to keep up with them my friend on his Kawasaki kz1000 had a better chance keeping up with the Kawasaki zx14r and Suzuki gsxr1000 and my friend from work on his 2009 Honda cbr900rr he was able to keep up with the Kawasaki zx14r the Suzuki gsxr1000 and Kawasaki kz1000 so I wouldn't mind eventually getting a Kawasaki kz1000 I don't need a Kawasaki zx14r or a ninja 1000 when I can get a Kawasaki kz1000 and do the same thing go fast and a Kawasaki kz1000 is basically the same bike as a Kawasaki ninja 1000 just a older version of the ninja 1000 like my dads Suzuki GS650 and my Suzuki gsx600f are basically the same as my brothers Suzuki gsxr750 my bike and my brothers bike side by side basically look the same and from riding my brothers Suzuki gsxr750 and my Suzuki gsx600f there both feel the exact same and they have the same rider style
