1982 Toyota Corolla SR5 Junkyard Find. Yes...another unsubscribe special. Had to check out this little sr5 hatchback gem in the yard. She was pretty used and abused but pretty much all still there. She was mainly missing just the wheels. Rust seemed to be an issue though. All in all, rough but still a few good parts to be had from this one. I must say I like old rwd imports. They are cool in their own way.

These were uber reliable, we had one as a shop car, but the one we had was a 1981. My neighbor bought it from his girlfriend's father (who hated him) for $300. It ran great, easy to drive and great on fuel. Yes, 1982 for a "C" for the 10th of the VIN #. Same length of VINs since 1981, and we still have 17 digit VINs today on 2020 model year vehicles. Look at that mileage and you'll know why the Japanese kicked our asses with small cars. An '82 small car from the Big 3 wouldn't have gone that long. No, I don't think that graphics setup is original. The 3TC is a 1.8L. If you look closely right next to where you saw 108 cubic inches, you'll see where it says "Engine Family". In that mix of letters and numbers, you'll find 1.8. That is 1.8L.

I had a 1980 Toyota Corolla - same color - same liftback. Got it in high school ('83) from my Aunt. No sunroof. You just can't believe how reliable it was...only problem was me...and Lord knows how ROUGH I was on her! Should be the 3T-C (same). Such memories. Yeah...thanks for the video...happen to show up...memories...thanks...

I love old school imports bro. And yes the vin number is long. Most cars have 17 numbers and letters ( mixed digits) I’ve got a 1997 Toyota Tercel. 324 k miles and still riding strong. Never ever let me down and I’ve owned her for 4 years. Looks decent runs fantastic. No leaks. Best of all... still has the factory installed cassette deck in her too. They don’t make cars like that no more. I’m driving my old school bucket with 300 k miles on her and I pass a 2017 Chevy surburban that’s on the side of the road stalled with his hood up. Ha ha. My Toyota eats new cars for breakfast buddy!!

Was it just a bit lighter on the rust, I would fix one like that. "What was that popular engine they had, sr5 or something like that. I got one in a auction and I just through a bid in to get it started and got it for a hundred bucks, towed home and went though the gas system and it was a real good runner. I drove it a while till tags were about out. Sold again to a guy who made fun of it but took him for drive and he gave me willingly three hundred and another hundred later.,
