We still own our first Cruiser (‘75 FJ 40) Made 13 trips on the Rubicon with our local L/C club. Has been garaged for at least 20+yrs. Own four Cruisers now. Just bought a lease 2018 Cruiser with 38,000 miles. Have owned a total of nine Cruisers since 1976 when we bought the FJ-40. We LOVE them. Owned a ‘75, ‘ 81, ‘87, ‘91, ‘95, ( stolen from the dealership 🥴). Replaced with a ‘96, then a 2000, 2010 n lastly the 2018.
Always beautiful. After the Toyotas and Broncos dry up... what next? Right now in UK MOD there are SWB Commando Landrovers and G240/250/300's stacked up and ready to ship for as low as $6K a piece (plus $2K shipping). I am a fan of anything with side jumpseats in the back. Closest thing to the FJ's out there.
Jonathan I love The FJ40 but why get a antique that it is almost impossible to get parts for. When the same truck can be ICONed To the Max and have a virtually new truck that will go places goats fear to tread.
I was looking at a 1982 Toyota Land cruiser yeah they're cooler basically Toyota Jeeps with $40,000 $40,000 come on man you know 83 those things 69 Land cruiser was like $1,100 hey it's estimated at $30,000 40,000 for a almost 40-year-old Land cruiser and pay more than 5,000 and I've got money I can afford it set a principal to ridiculous and also their junk they've been taking off road or not fast no torque or just over glorified popular American junk
