I second that. Pull the carbs, and do a thorough cleaning, every jet, every passageway. Guitar strings work great for getting into the jets. Check the idle screw as well. Also, while you're in the carbs, check the float level. You may have to adjust, if possible.

I love the color, my brother bought one of these new in 1982. My guess on the idle problem is that the idle circuits are plugged with residue from old gasoline. You may have to pull the carbs and do a full chemical dip to clear all the passages for fuel and air. Also someone may have tampered with the throttle idle speed screw, and it's simply too low. A vacuum leak may also be at fault.

I bought one a month ago. I have been fixing up a few things on it. Just cleaned the carburetor completely and changed all the fluids. I need to change the spark plugs and hopefully have the same result as this video. Can you tell me where the tube from your air cleaner box (black box held down by bungie strap right underneath the gas tank) goes to? It's really long but no idea where it's suppose to be going to

I'm about to deal one like this but doesn't start, any guess what the problem could be?
