I bought one of those new in 1983. Silver with the white stripe. Loved it. I paid £1300 new. Loved the off beat sound of the V. I never had it long enough for it to suffer from the fueling problems. I think they were a pig to fix once the bike had aged a bit. I recently looked up the bike, seems it was scrapped in 1990.

I had an 83 Vision my Junior and Senior years in high school back in the 80's. Loved that bike, thanks for the video, brought back a lot of great memories, especially hearing the sound of the engine again! One thing I could never figure out that was kind of unique to the bike was the signals would shut off automatically, never owned another bike that did that.

Hey love the video I have pretty much the same bike it's in good shape but I have no front brake assembly I've been having a hell of a time trying to find it

I'm pretty sure the carbs do actually come out the side, since that's what I had to do as well, was like a puzzle to figure out. Thanks for your these videos, been helpful for my 550 as well. This is my first bike which probably isn't the greatest idea for a 14 year old but I wanted a project and something that'd be good for a proper collection, since I like keeping rare vehicles on the road

Hi from France, I’m aware of a bike builder from Belgique who fitted a rear wheel from a 900 diversion and a front end early R6 also Weber carbs , I think VW beetle performance parts sorted the carb glitch, but needed matching as in inlet feeds.

Just a note. The front carbs have a larger jet than the rear carbs. But only by a fraction. I guess it's due to the rear cylinder exhaust is smaller.

Hey man im gonna be rebuilding an 82 for myself and i have a few questions, like why would the crankcase have flooded with fuel in the first place? Did it flood while sitting and the gas seeped into the case because they didn't drain gas before storing?

The float in the front carb was stuck and the fuel petcock was left on, so it just filled the cylinder and crankcase with whatever fuel was left in the tank.
