In 1983, a 4-day Walt Disney World Passport ticket (which today would be known as a Park Hopper) was $45 for adults. That's $113.66 in 2018 dollars. Round that up to $114 and you have the exact price of a 1-day 1-park "Regular" ticket under the new pricing system. By the way, a 4-day Park Hopper ticket in 2018 is $455. That's crazy.
Thank you so much for this and the other WDW/Epcot videos. Our family went in the summer of '83 when I was 9 years old, and these bring back so many great memories. Seeing that 4-day passport for $45 is hilarious compared to what single-day passports and park hoppers cost today. Yes, 33 years later and all, but still. :)
I like the zoom in on the prices, towards the beginning. There's a sense that they took notice of how exorbitant they are (and, in 1983 money, they kind of are.) Circa now, though, that's a bargain and a half lol
Wow!!!!!!! Back before fast food took over America! No obesity seen here, exposed body piercings, tattoos, dyed hair, cell phones, etc. Seemed more civilized then! Great video!!! Happy 2019!!
