Awesome! I had a Royal Dirt Devil hand held for vacuuming church pews, back when I cleaned my old church. It was perfect for that application. This older one looks to be even better, as the bag locks in place, instead of just slipping on, and off, via a rubber collar. I had a couple of instances where the bag slipped off, and caused a big mess.
I also scored Royal Prince 501 handheld vacuum cleaner for $4 at the estate sale, and I still happen to have three Dirt Devil 103 handheld vacuum cleaner and they are all made in USA. American Pride like a Eagle.
Just a heads-up... Your bag was on upside-down in the video while you were vacuuming up the rice! ~ Other than that, wonderful video! Always glad to see other people enjoying their Royal Prince hand vacs! I honestly have over 10 Royal Prince's in my collection now... Something about these old Royals just draws me to them & I'm an especially big fan of the Royal Prince hand vacuums! ~ Happy Vacuuming! ~ Justin in Illinois 🌪️
I was using my Royal 501 Prince to clean and I noticed a metallic electrical smell coming from it in the motor town went down slightly should I continue to use it?
I would see how many amps it's drawing first. If it's drawing a lot of amps, more than what it's rated then the motor would need to be serviced and inspected.
