It is literally making me cry to listen to this after so long. I played this tape to death. I would listen to it and draw the Millennium Falcon, lightsabers, Ewoks, etc....And still, after all these years, I knew every little sound effect and bit of narration before it came. I searched it out after showing Return of the Jedi to my daughters last night for the first time, to huge success. THANK YOU for bringing back this little yet huge piece of my childhood!!! My heart’s full!

I had this on a small record as a kid! I remember listening to this SO MANY times! This is a true delight to hear again! I also realized that the voice cast from these read-along recordings were also used in the "Mission to Ord Mantell" story! I recognize C-3PO's voice actor perfectly!

Man, I had this when I was a kid. We didn't have a VCR until probably '88 or '89. This is one of the few ways you could relive the movie. "Heroes, together to the end..." well...crap. If only my younger self knew what the Mouse was going to do with these beloved characters in the future!

Oh wow, so many memories of listening to this end over end over end on my fisher price tape recorder while driving to the beach for eight hours… gotta forward this to my poor suffering parents who had to listen along with me! (And on our next road trip, force my kids to watch this repeatedly instead of streaming Netflix!) I saw ROTJ once in the theatres (I was six!) and then this was my only Star Wars content until we got a VCR in ‘87

They also held us over for the 2 and a half years til this came out on VHS. That seems insane now when movies are on vod in no more than 3 months. Theatrical runs were much longer after which there was a period of limbo where they just went away for a while,I don’t miss that shit😆

It's been a long time since I've listened to this, and I never caught it as a kid, but they definitely used voice actors from GI Joe here. I am certain that Arthur Burghardt is voicing Vader, Lee Jeffrey is voicing Lando, and B.J. Ward is voicing Leia, as I can clearly hear the voices of Destro, Stalker, & Scarlett in their performances.

TPTB will never allow movies of this calibre to ever be made again. The film is spiritual. Good triumphing over pure evil. No Star Wars films ahould have been made after this. The movies were just way too popular to sit on the shelf so they gave you Star Wars Lite in 1999.

you should of left in all the audio cassette sequences that were on the original cassette, to keep authenticity. I used to have this cassette, when i was a lot younger, and there were audio sequences on the original cassette before the story, at the end of part 1, beginning of part 2, and right at the end of part 2, shame.
