I had a 1984 C10. It had the Front Deluxe Appearance Package. The one with the nice grill and the quad headlight set up. I think that is the most beautiful grill setup that Chevrolet ever put on a truck.
They were still in production up through '84. When the rest of the medium duty & light duty models were redesigned in '73, the school buses were the only models that stayed the same.
Thankfully Chevrolet is back with the medium duty of 2019 Silverado (not KODIAK nor no GMC unfortunately) with 6.6 duramax and or 6.6 gas probably bringing back a big block for that application
Everyone had and still has a medium duty offering it was this group of trucks that attracted me into trucking & their needed niche in the job market these starter jobs that give people a taste of trucking and Leeds to a taste to move up to heavy duty class 7 & 8 strate trucks & Tractor Trailer transport medium duty transportation is a good primer to see if a individual has a taste of driving for a living and is willing to commit to the discipline and responsibility of heavy motor vehicle transportation
