@@maxtheberm205 Cool, I rode a buddies back in 1990 and it had the fmf pipe, with some minor suspension work. Off road, it was amazing an the power output was extremely fun to ride in the tight woods...good luck finding one..😎
great rebuild man!! Beautiful job. I had the 200 version of it but FYI, that's the graphics from the 1985 model not a 84'. I see the frame indicates 1984. The 84' model graphics look VERY different than the 1985 model. Looks great!
I raced one of these primarily in motocross and some harescrambles as well . Had lengthened the swing arm by 2 inches ,82 CR -125 front suspension, ported ,polished head ,Barnett clutch, revalved rear shock ,white Brothers head pipe /with reverse cone megaphone muffler , and ran cam2 fuel in it ,the two of the worst things about it that 1984 XR250 Honda WAS DUEL CARBS and pain in the ass to restart if you crashed it ,laid it over or even stalled it ! If any one of those things happen during a MOTO ,IT WAS OVER ,the 1985 XR- 350 was by far a superior bike compared to the 84 250 ! Sold the 84 and bought a 83 CR-480 and a 87 CR-500, Best move that I ever made as far as race bikes !
Hey I have a xr350 1985 and I can’t figure out how to put the exhaust back in properly I looked at the diagram and still sounds loud idk can you help me
Thanks, just saw it used in your earlier video that I’d missed when asking the question. Nice job on this series. Hope you’re enjoying the bike. I’ve had an ‘85 model for over 30 years now and it’s still fun. Provides amazingly long service life with basic maintenance. Some of the best machines Honda ever built, IMHO. Certainly more comfortable to ride long distances than the newer stuff. Will use it as long as I’m able. Only wish it was electric start. Best of luck to you.
