I've owned 2 of them. A 1984 5000S and a 1987 QV. Great when they're running right, but averaged over $20k a year each in maintenance. They're not what you think they are.... Never meet your heroes
I've got a Cimbria SS because it was the closest thing to a supercar I could afford and let me tell you, sitting in that thing at 6'1" is like having the rear visibility issues on this countach up front. Great car, just lacked visibility and was super claustrophobic for anyone above 5'11.
very nice countach and poster child 80s with the koenig style sides. It is a great deal at this price. Hardly any available at any given time. Im surprised a Japanese collector has not purchased it already! I have driven a few thousand kms on a beautiful original 87 5000 QV and there is nothing that compares and thats having driven all the newer lambos etc. the sense of occassion and visceral experience of a Countach is incredible
How much cash are you looking for and will you take any trades I have seven cars that I don't need but one of them please let me know thank you God bless
It was very hard to choose between Lamborghini and Ferrari f40, but at the end of the day, I would go for countash, but runner up is definitely the f40.
Koenig was a serious tuner for supercars. they were the first to turbo lots of super cars. they had had some epic widebody kits. definitely not hideous
Agreed. I've owned two of these, a 1984 5000S and a 1987 QV. That body kit destroys the look of the car along with the idiotic chrome wheels. These cars only look right when they're 100% ORIGINAL
You can tell a real one because the window glass has a slight curve to it. The fakes use flat glass or plexiglass. I've never seen a fake with curved window glass.
Let me wipe the white stuff off my nose and I'll watch the video again. Any records on upkeep? Have a feeling this bad Boy was seized by the D.A. Now for sale down the line.
mark rossbach, while I agree that there are a LOT of fun fast cars out there for 200+, you need to realize what this car is and it’s value. Do a lil market research and you’ll see.
sure there are faster cars than the countach but none of them have the appeal like the countach as this car is what got the supercar craze started in the first place if you knew the history of lamborghini like i do you would have more respect mr lamborghini
That car is gorgeous but comes with a long long line of problems. It’s going to cost you an absolute fortune continuously maintaining it. The tires and wheels are a complete once off, only made for that car, so replacing the tires is impossible unless you import them from Italy at nearly 10 thousand dollars a set. It’s prone to constantly leaking oil and coolant. I can keep going on and on. I’m sure you have all heard the saying, never meet your hero, this car looks amazing and goes wonderfully until it stops working. This car will sadly disappoint you.
from what i have seen for prices these days a person could ask 300 000 and no one would flinch at that because i would pay that much and gene get your head out of your ass and get a life!
I hope your a troll? And not the worlds biggest CARTARD? These cars sell in excess of 400k. IF you can find one… Perhaps you’re maybe a KIA or Hyundai guy? That’s the price range your shopping in. 😂
nope its a replica........bullshit......i had one of these. they never came with the side coutours like that. ive been alive for 51 years. and a car guy. we had these cars in the 80s. they are made that way as to before the patent ran out and had to be a modified fiberglass body style. bloodviking.
It's a genuine Countach. You can tell by the overall contours. Most enthusiasts can tell replicas from a mile away, but some are spot on clones...like this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3JdGUsphLsE.html
