I remember a kid in school who had a homemade hard plastic folding case (obviously made by his father) with foam lining with cut-outs to fit his Stomper collection. He would bring it to the school playground. He tricked out some Stomper tires with silver paper staples embedded into the soft foam rubber tires to give better traction. He took his Stompers very serious.
I can still remember the heartache i suffered when my older brother took my pair of stompers to school and got them taken away by the teacher. I had to wait weeks to get them back, which of course to a 6 year-old might as well be eternity 😂
I think I had this commercial on an old tape that has long since been gone. I don't remember too much, but it does look a little familiar, especially the end. If so, thanks for uploading, I've been trying to recreate that tape.
Such a great commercial. Love the miniature environment. It does remind me of the DQ commercial with chocolate cliffs andariver of hot fudge. Loved that commercial, too. Why couldnt stompers drive around in Carmel?
I hard wired a 9 volt battery to my orange stomper mack truck dumpster. Still have it to this day.... and it still has the leads soldered to the battery compartment.

As a kid born in 1978 who grew up in the1980s.....my parents bought me 100 or more of these things because once the battery's would run down I'd push them like a hot wheel and strip out all the gears and they would replace it.
If you ever come across that commercial from over there let me know I'd love to see it. I think the stampers over there were called Stomper Action GT series
Does anyone remember a toy, (I can’t remember if it was hotwheels or matchbox or something else) that was a normal hotwheels car that you could snap into a monster truck chassis? Essentially you convert your matchbox car into a monster truck. Am I just making up this memory? I haven’t been able to find it online, but I have a strong recollection of something like this.
