I just hate that McReynolds got hurt. Because with him healthy, I think Padres put up a little more of a fight. Having Brown in the lineup was like having the pitcher hit. Got nothing done in the entire 84 postseason. McReynolds at least had some pop.
SD has had no luck. 84 they get mauled by the Tigers that started 35-5. 98 they get the 114 win Yankees (and game 1 help from Rich Garcia). 94 Chargers got those 49ers. It's about time we get to be the "God team."
Who knows how many more hits Tony Gwynn who have beat out if he'd of played his career all trimmed down like this game. I'm 71 and he's 1 of the best all around players I've seen and that goes way back to the late 60's
