I got this one for x-mas back in the day and also was among the very first MASK toys I had. Mom even got me one of those 2-pack action figures (the one with Matt and Miles Mayhem), so I ended up having a back-up Matt figure. MASK didn't come as cheap as other toylines back then so I didn't own a lot of them; Thunder Hawk was the coolest I got and has a special place for me. As absurd as this design appears to be, to me is MASK at its finest.

Wow I remember my Thunderhawk being so much larger. Word to the wise: sandboxes & MASK toys don't mix.

I grew up in Colombia and we never had access to these toys but we did watch all these series. 'Cause nothing is more powerful than a poor kids imagination, any toy car that has open doors was immediately transformed as my own Thunderhawk. A Batman from Kenner (my only action figure) with his fully rotating hips was rebranded as Optimus Prime.

My MASK figures actually were stand ins for many other stories. Thundercats (of which I did own a few of the regular figures), DinoRiders, Batman (Brad Turner = Robin), Thunderbirds (Nash Gorey = Brains), Turtles, X-Men and my own off-brand, home made stories.

The only other M.A.S.K. vehicle to approach this level of cool was The Raven: an ‘80’s era black Corvette that converted to seaplane, hovercraft and submarine while launching saw blades out of its front grill. *The more you know.*

I somehow lodged one of those disks in the rear break light of my grandma’s car (against the back window). It never made it out for as long as they had that car.

I've always been mask fan the Hasbro universe a corporation very well which GI Joe Transformers mask ROM Action Man is done to where I really enjoy the comic so I have a lot of them my brother is getting that to me for a Christmas Venom with the baron Ironwood General Blitz in Cobra I really enjoy the mask I had that car the Thunderhawk I still have my Matt tracker

I have a weird love of Mask toys, Matt Trakker is odd as the main hero of the line he has such an underwhelming toy. As you mentioned, even as a kid it felt a big reach, but I also enjoy the naivety of line sometimes. It feels as though the gimmicks are designed, by kids almost, so blunt, obvious and silly, like the drawings on a back of a school book come to life.

+damnyouhussies As a kid I LITERALLY could not believe that the toys existed. I had been watching that show and LOVING it. When a friend of mine told me that there was a toy line I was like: "That's IMPOSSIBLE. The technology doesn't exist." I was, of course, naive and didn't realize that the toys were made long before the show (a commercial for the toys) was created.
