I couldn't get the day off. I wanted to go sooooo bad, and I live in southern middle Tennessee. It wasn't even far away from me and my 83 944 (and 79 924) but damn that jobby job messin' up my plans. Thanks for sharing this. It's as good as I'll get for this year's ToTD drive event.

I had taken my spring break vacation like a week earlier for a girlfriend to visit me from out of state, and couldn't ask for another day off so quickly. The chickie friend and I did do about 500 miles of spirited 944 driving in the Chattanooga and Ruby Falls/Rock City area, but we did it with only the one car in the pack :D I'm planning to go down and see Elliott next weekend for a couple parts and things as well. He's only a couple hours from my place. Thanks again for the great coverage of the drive.
Can it be a nice daily driver? I'm from Europe, so of course prices may differ but I'm looking for one that currently costs 12k euro, around 13k USD. It's a '85 model with 80k kms, around 49k miles, should I go for it?
