McFly 4x4 build project is finished! I hope you guys like it as much as I do! :) Songs: Jim Yosef - Firefly [NCS Release] • Jim Yosef - Firefly | ... Tobu - Candyland [NCS Release] • Video
Race for pink slips? Chicken? Ever since I saw that movie poverty had kept the possibility of owning such a magnificent vehicle a mere fantasy. I’m beyond delighted to see some one else had a passion for that Toy. Some day I hope.
CRACKING JOB SIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very, Very nice build, it says a lot about you as person. Mate I swear down Iv seen this car running round Fremantle WA!!! OH WHAT A FEELING TOYOTA!!!!!! I Love JDM 80/90s SNAP,CRACKLE,POP, MOTHER F#%KING "BIG BANG" my neighbours flopping hate me and I hate them so its a win, win situation for us all. All the best from Shamesville WA!!!!!!!
Thanks so much mate, I’m glad you are enjoying my little channel. They are a cool truck, I am actually surprised how much attention it gets on the road - just as much as Herbie or KITT, it’s crazy!
@@HeathsGarage its because you follow a theme and do it so well! I may need some expertise on my next build. Same year Hilux but looking to go back to stock
Thankyou, I understand the struggle - when these come up for sale they don’t last long at all. The McFly truck is becoming extremely sort after. If you are every in Newcastle I’ll take you for a spin 😎
But Marty's truck had the steering wheel on the left side, just joking. The truck looks amazing, I bet you constantly get compliments and have a ton of people taking pictures.
Beautiful work! what did you use for the front windshield weather stripping? I have a 1985 4runner with the factory chrome trim, and I want to replace it with what you used. Please advise. thanks!
Hey Heath where do I get the specs for the bar work ? Hope your still looking at the comments on here ? You did an amazing job on this ! Hats off to you your dad and brother ‘ I’m just about to tear mine down to start work on it so if you or anyone can help with specs and where to obtain stuff it would be very appreciated cheers ! Hope one day I can take my wife of 38 years of marriage up to the lake ! We got married around the same time as this movie was released! So it’s special to us both thanks for sharing your build from Paul and Tracy
@@Gunsgame1966 There is a guy in QLD that makes the bars. They are around $6k for a set. If you’re interested, shoot me a message on Facebook and I’ll pass on his details 😎👍🏼
Nice job mate, from where did you find the yellow kc covers and the fog lights? I can't find like them anywhere. I am thinking of doing a similiar light setup to my landcruiser.
Thanks Mate! Yeah, the bars were easy enough to engineer as they are exact replicas of the original bars (well a bit better as these mounting brackets are CNC cut)
Congratulations my friend, absolutely perfect! I’m making a 2000 Hilux Double Cab tribute, could you please tell me the tubes diameter used in front and rear bumpers? Also the size of the front amber fog lights please. Thank you so much! Fernando Silotto
@@HeathsGarage hi unreal job what size of pipe was used for the bull bars and light bar ? Walk thickness too,was it bent to shape or did u weld in the bends what kind of wheels is that and the size of wheels n tyres?
Heath’s Garage They did but not in big numbers so hardly any left and most where in white or red. Your example is amazing. Need someone in the Uk to build the film cars that you do. They would make a killing especially on the hire side for weddings etc🤫
@@HeathsGarage well that blows, your truck looks great what is the name of the shop if you dont mind me asking i might inquire if they would ship out the pieces but shipping to canada might be too much i think
So how much prep work did you do to get it to primer stage? did you get it back to bare metal and then primer it or just get the top coat off and primer over that?
@@HeathsGarage right on I'vegot an 86 surf that I'm going to paint soon and it's been my dilemma whether I should strip it down to bare metal or just sand it good and then prime over that.
What did you use for a windshield gasket? I would like to eliminate the factory sealant/trim setup on my ‘87. Its the only spot that rusted on my truck due to the poor design.
Hello! Love this truck nice work! I have an 86 that I am currently restoring and making it look just as Marty's truck. Its hard to get the bumpers were I am located and I am looking to recreate the rear Smittybilt in particular since the truck already has the front. Do you have dimensions you can possibly share to build this and wh ere can I get the parts for it? Would greatly appreciate any help with this thank you.
Thankyou Howard! Mine were all custom built here in Australia too, as trying to find the front and light/roll bar are hard to find. I believe the rear bar can still be bought new from warrior bumpers :)
@@HeathsGarage Thank you and I'll look it to it! I also forgot to menthion I need roll bar as well. If possible can you also provide shop name that work your roll bar.
