Hey! Where did you get the 200hp engine?? I’m restoring my 63 and I like the look and fit of the one you got! So I was curious on if you’d share that information?
I'd love to see you stick a turbo or two and intercooler in there. dunno if you run coilovers? didn't talk about suspension. love to see an engine build that would give all the monte carlo cars a hard time in real time!
Great great work! A lot of money, planning, effort & patience! Well done. Im assuming they're custom rims? Could you mention the site or company who did your rims please? Again brilliant work
Beautiful Herbie!!! I'm Brazilian and I'm working on a replica as well, but the L87 paint (pearl white) here in Brazil looks very different from what I see in your video. Your Herbie really looks very faithful to the original. I would like to know if there is any way to get a sample of this color, to try to replicate it on my Herbie.
To think we used to go paddock bashing and shooting in a truck identical to this truck limited edition SR5 xtra cab hilux in 1985 😳 I’ve got a pic somewhere of the arse end of it and our bikes and a mate feeding a Joey kangaroo on the tailgate! Great memories in that Ute
Hey Heath where do I get the specs for the bar work ? Hope your still looking at the comments on here ? You did an amazing job on this ! Hats off to you your dad and brother ‘ I’m just about to tear mine down to start work on it so if you or anyone can help with specs and where to obtain stuff it would be very appreciated cheers ! Hope one day I can take my wife of 38 years of marriage up to the lake ! We got married around the same time as this movie was released! So it’s special to us both thanks for sharing your build from Paul and Tracy
@@Gunsgame1966 There is a guy in QLD that makes the bars. They are around $6k for a set. If you’re interested, shoot me a message on Facebook and I’ll pass on his details 😎👍🏼
@@HeathsGarage please don’t give up bud. Watching your creation helps me visit my favorite childhood memories. I would love to build one but I wouldn’t even know where to start. Thanks again.
For Halloween, how about turning herbie into a Ghostbuster with some of the same stuff from the ECTO 1, along with herbie's racing patterns, and keep the number 53 on the hood , back and put the Ghostbusters logos on the doors
Amazing KITT build! I am also interested as I noticed its a right hand drive. Did you have to convert the whole car from left hand drive to right? Can't wait for the next video 👍
Thanks mate! I appreciate it! When these cars came into Australia in the 90’s they had to be RHD, so there were a few shops that converted trans ams, mustangs, Camaros etc. now they can stay LHD as they are classed as classics. But, I prefer my cars to be RHD for everyday ease haha
Cool vids bro you took me back to when I was 18 my first car was a black and gold 1984 Pontiac Trans Am. I sold it a few years later to buy another 1984 but a Recaro edition. A few years after that ended up buying a 1987 Firebird formula with 5 spd manual and shortly after that ended getting my hands on another 1984 red Trans am 5spd from a uncle and he was the original owner. I didn't know they offered that car with right hand steering wow , bro keep the vids coming nice work
